I’m also part taking in the butterfly project. I’ve slipped up a few times too, so I completely understand, but remembering why I want to quit has brought me back to the project. That’s my plan too, and I know I had to wait years to meet the person that I was with, then I messed up and now it’s over. I’m going to do the same as you, it’s exam time and I’m throwing myself into that, while working attempting to repair what I messed up. Stay strong. You can do this.

I was in a three year relationship and we never had sex because I wasn’t ready, if who you’re with doesn’t respect that, the harsh reality is, they don’t love you because if they did you’d be worth waiting for to me. I’m sure you are worth waiting for, you just have to meet the person willing to wait until your comfortable and ready.

You’re the only other person I’ve ever met who started that young. I also started that young except at the time I didn’t know know what I was doing, all I know is that I was in emotional pain and doing this behaviour that hurt for a second but then induced a high that was unbelievable and made it better. I started moving on to more ’conventional’ weapons of harm at 15. I’m 19 now, and I’ve tried to quit a million times and I’m in the middle of an attempt to quit now, this time it seems to be working….I hope.

I recently just re-started therapy. Once you have the right now working with you it’s good. Getting that help is hard though, try maybe seeing if you’re in school if they have a counsellor that comes in weekly or something. If not, try contact other potential services that can help you out.
