Aw, I didn’t think anyone took much notice of me here. I’m still around, but I don’t have very much to say these days.

Amen to that. But we should cherish our shape too. If society wasn’t so obsessed with looking like Barbie dolls maybe we’d all be happier…

I saw that in the paper yesterday. The fact she bought him jeans made me laugh.

I’m 18 and I’ve never even gone as far as holding hands. I stopped caring about a year ago. You don’t need a relationship to define you. We’re hardly even a quarter of the way through our lives. Heck, I don’t even consider myself an adult. There’s still so much time left and so many opportunities to meet people. Stop worrying about it and just have fun.

To be perfectly honest, I think you’re the prettiest. I like your face shape. The girl at the back is least appealing to me. But look at all these comments: everyone has different opinions. Look at the three of you, you’re all totally different and totally beautiful in your own ways. Please don’t think you’re the ”ugly duckling”, because to so many people, you’re the swan.

Oh, the irony.

I do kind of empathise; I stopped myself from crying so often in the past that I just don’t know how to cry anymore. And that really sucks. I know that saying it won’t make you feel less weak, but crying really isn’t a sign of weakness. Picking yourself up and carrying on regardless is the ultimate strength, and crying is just a natural part of that.

Seriously though, it’s okay to cry once in a while. It’s okay to not be okay. Let people help.

Don’t worry, just keep practising and it’ll come back to you. You have to accept that what you draw in the meantime won’t be as good as you’d like it to be, but it really does get better. It’s especially hard if you’re a perfectionist, because when something doesn’t turn out as good as you want it to, you get frustrated and don’t want to try again, and it becomes a downward spiral. Fight it and keep on drawing!
