I sit in my room all alone,

Waiting my the telephone.

Hours go by, my razor is ready,

I move it across my skin, deep, but steady.

Waiting for someone to notice and care,

but all they do is gasp and stare.

I cry as I replay that day in my head,

and stumble as I get into bed.

Fainting from all my heavy breathing,

the last thing I see is my wrist bleeding.

I gain consciousness, but not dare open my eyes,

in fear that I am still alive.

Every time I awake,

I get reminded of every single mistake.

But this time, I’m not in fault,

Stinging my cuts with water and salt.

How could you cheat?

Why did my heart skip a beat?

Every time you said you loved me?

You became even more lovely,

But you cheated, you lied, and I was betrayed.

Now there is no way this trust can be saved.

is what we all struggle with
