Speaking from experience, I think you should definitely think this through VERY thoroughly.
Me and a [girl] friend of mine ”experimented” together though she didn’t know that it was more than just that for me. After that she ignored me for about 4 months and only now are we vaguely anything like how we used to be.

If you feel confident enough that she feels the same, or that she won’t freak if you tell her, then go for it.
If you love her enough, then do it.
But just remember that you must be prepared to lose a friend if things don’t go to plan.
