This runs through my mind all the time. I constantly question what I would do: walk away or stop him? I would like to think that I would have the courage to stop him.

I don’t know that I can pick one. So many major life changes have drastically affected me: being abused, being tortured-dying-being revived, becoming a mom, getting divorced, the car accident (albeit a minor one but has long-term consequences).

I wish… and hate myself for it because I know it will never happen. I wish I could stop wishing. I really try to catch myself and stop whenever I realize I’m doing it. It just makes me miserable.

I am not sure where you are or your age but an IUD may be an option. I know you mentioned that you are only looking for something that will last for a year, but an IUD has a 5- or 10- year option. Something else to discuss with your doctor
