    I miss running. I miss feeling the pull of my muscles as they shot me forward. The pain in my lungs. My heartbeat in my ears and the soreness that sank into my bones. Crossing threshold between exhaustion and exhiliration. I miss being free.

    Someone called me a cruel kindness today. They told me that my heart is made of stone but the deeper I cut people the more it makes them crave my approval. My warmth. They called my beauty hard and ruthless. They said that the look in my eyes shuts people down. They asked if I was even human. I told them they were full of shit. But really I think they might be right.
